RAD FELLOWSHIPS

Funding and guidance for the most promising early career scientists

Our flagship programme. We fund and guide the most promising early career scientists – groundbreakers in the search for a treatment and cure for dementia.

RAD Fellowships begin within six years of completing a PhD. Scientists are chosen from universities in the UK, Australia and the US. RAD Fellows receive up to five years of support. Currently RAD supports Fellows from universities including Cambridge, Edinburgh, Sydney and Queensland.

We partner with the respected dementia research charities to launch open calls for applicants. Scientific expert panels select the top talent. Once chosen, Fellows join RAD’s cohort of exceptional dementia researchers and receive training in a Formula 1-style mindset to fast-track their progress. All RAD Fellows gather for the annual Summer School and additional ad-hoc training events. RAD matches researchers with one or more suitable mentors, often a Formula 1, industry or commercial professional.
