We exist to beat dementia
trusts and foundations support race against dementia research

TRUSTS AND FOUNDATIONS

Charitable Trusts and Foundations play a key role in funding our research

Race Against Dementia funding in most cases runs for five years, allowing greater experimentation and in-depth study. Funding decisions are swift, meaning scientists can focus on the number one priority – research.

We value every Trust and Foundation we work with and are supported with both restricted and unrestricted (donations that can be used for any purpose) funding. By partnering with Race Against Dementia, we will work with you to build a partnership that aligns both of our values and mission and enables us to accelerate dementia research.

We will keep you updated about the essential work you are funding and provide information that will help you share the support you are giving Race Against Dementia.

If you are part of a Trust or Foundation and would like to work with us, please email fundraising@raceagainstdementia.com.

“By encouraging collaboration across industry and asking questions we can challenges convention to find a different and better way of doing things… Dyson engineers can help Claire examine brain tissue atomically as she continues her pioneering research. It’s about approaching things from new angles and I find that very exciting.”

“We believe that through the natural dynamism of the Race Against Dementia Fellows, taken together with the benefits of the Race Against Dementia Development Programme, we have a very good chance of finding an eventual treatment and cure for dementia.”

“Dementia is a devastating disease that not only takes the spirit from the sufferer but poisons the ecosystem of the family of the afflicted as they experience a loved one slowly fading away. Having seen the dreadful impact that dementia had on Sean, particularly towards the end of his life, and after having visited the extraordinary dementia research centre at the University of Edinburgh, our family feels privileged to support the vital research which is being undertaken.”

Stephane Connery,
The Sean Connery Foundation
