Giving In Memory

Make a donation in the name of a loved one

When we lose someone we love, donating, collecting or fundraising in their memory is a very special way of remembering them. We are honoured to receive gifts in their name; it is an incredible way of celebrating their life.

To make a one-off donation in memory of a loved one, click here or if you would prefer to speak to someone, please call 01296 620919. You don’t need to tell us why you are donating. You may want to keep it private, but we are aware that some people like to share their reasons for giving.

Collect at a funeral or celebration of life

If you need Gift Aid donation envelopes, a collection tin, or leaflets about the work RAD undertakes for use at a funeral or memorial service, please get in touch.

We can also work directly with Funeral Directors to arrange for these to be collected after the event.

Create an online tribute fund

This option allows you to raise money online in memory of a family member or friend and you can invite others to add their thoughts, memories and photos.

The tribute pages can stay open as long as you need and are an option for those wishing to have a lasting memorial for a loved one.

There are several options available:

JustGiving also provides an online fundraising platform that has an area dedicated to raising funds in memory of someone special.

Fundraise in celebration of your loved one

Taking part in an event or completing a challenge may be the right way for you to remember someone special. Get in touch to receive our fundraising pack that is full of ideas.
Hear what people affected by dementia have to say about Race Against Dementia

“My extraordinary dad, Peter Bailey, spent his life looking after others, whether that be me and my racing cars, or his wider family. He devoted the final eight years of his life to caring for his wife of 68 years, Margaret, in her battle with dementia. The generous donations at dad’s funeral will go some way, one day, to ensure that dementia becomes a thing of the past.”
