We exist to beat dementia

FAST-TRACK A CURE FOR DEMENTIA

SUPPORT AN ELITE TEAM OF DEMENTIA RESEARCHERS

1 in 3 people will die with dementia. We must find a cure. Through collaboration, resilience and teamwork this is possible.

The Teams programme in partnership with Rosetrees Trust, enables Race Against Dementia to rally behind up to five teams of high calibre researchers, with innovative projects, all racing to achieve a new clinical breakthrough in dementia research.

We’re looking to collaborate with innovative businesses, philanthropic organisations and individuals, to join us on our mission, so together we can fast-track a cure for dementia.

Your support will fuel minds, equip labs and enable groundbreaking research discoveries.

There are three ways you can get involved

1

THANK YOU.

WHAT WILL YOUR DONATIONS BE FUNDING?

Up until now, Race Against Dementia has fuelled and turbocharged individual research scientists with funding, mentoring and Formula 1 mindset training.

To accelerate progress, now we’re also backing the whole team.

The Programme will support research projects which aim to introduce a step change in dementia research.

Projects may include research into the prevention of dementia – dietary or lifestyle – as well as basic mechanisms of the disease so we can better understand potential new treatments.

They may also be focused in diagnostics – imaging, fluid biomarkers, sensor technology, or even wearables to detect dementia. They could include any new potential treatment for testing pre-clinically or clinically.

Five distinguished group leaders with innovative research visions will be granted £750,000 each, spanning five years, to empower them to assemble exceptional research teams and bring their research agendas to fruition.

These selected elite teams will identify causes, develop prevention strategies and determine treatments for dementia. The race is on.
