Paul raised an amazing £695.00 plus GiftAid by cutting his long locks. The grand cut was somewhat delayed by lockdown but Paul kept his commitment, visiting the hairdressers at the first available opportunity.
“Unfortunately my family have had close experiences with dementia leaving great wholes in our lives. My Nan was one of them and she always asked when I was going to get my hair cut. I figured that by getting it cut I could raise some money for dementia research and the ultimate goal of finding a cure.
As a Formula 1 fan, Race Against Dementia was a charity I was already aware of and the mentality behind their objectives sits well with me. The pace at which technology advances in F1 is unfathomable and if even a small part of that mentality, skill and aptitude can be applied to dementia research we will be able to beat this disease for my generation to appreciate.”
