Part of RAD’s International Hub is The Race Against Dementia Drug Discovery to Clinical Trial Project – a joint research partnership between the University of Edinburgh and the Alzheimer Center, Amsterdam. The aim of this project is to accelerate the discovery of new treatments for dementia and to test drug compounds against models of dementia, with a view to tracking promising targets towards clinical trials.
The project supports RAD’s ambition to fund innovative and collaborative international research, bringing together global centres of excellence to accelerate finding a prevention or cure of dementia.
Two RAD Associates, Dr Jort Vijverberg and Dr Bhuvaneish Selvaraj, are supported as part of the Race Against Dementia Drug Discovery to Clinical Trial Project funding. These RAD Associates benefit from the full RAD Fellowship Programme alongside RAD Fellows.
