This World Alzheimer’s Day, get ready to witness the same level of drive and innovation seen on the F1 tracks being steered towards Alzheimer’s and dementia research with Race Against Dementia Teams.
Race Against Dementia is championing a groundbreaking approach to tackling dementia, injecting the culture and drive of F1 into our mission to find a cure for dementia.
Currently, Race Against Dementia is fundraising to launch a new project – Race Against Dementia Teams in partnership with Rosetrees Trust. We want to back groups of dementia researchers with a shared ambition to achieve a breakthrough, offering a £750k grant to each Team. We will train teams of dementia scientists in an F1 approach to accelerate their research.
“Drive a real and immediate change”
“We want people who are great communicators, who think outside the box and are keen to change the culture of the way that research is conducted within the labs. So, looking at the Formula 1 type approach, looking at how to create a team that communicates really well and that will drive a real and immediate change, which is absolutely urgent right now when we look at the numbers of people being diagnosed with dementia.” ~ Ann Berger, Chief Executive, Rosetrees Trust
By encouraging researchers to work together closely and efficiently like an F1 team, Race Against Dementia hopes to speed up progress and quickly turn ideas into real solutions.
There is a deep commitment to work hard and never give up, always moving forward with the aim to finally beat dementia. Just like in F1 racing where every second is important, in this fight against dementia, every step forward counts.
On World Alzheimer’s Day, we ask you to please support Race Against Dementia Teams to help make an impact on this global issue and fast-track a cure for dementia.
