In a remarkable display of unity and compassion, NAPA Racing UK launched their annual charity fundraiser in support of Race Against Dementia during Knockhill’s 50th Anniversary and infamous Scottish round of the BTCC.
Building on the success of last year’s event, which raised an impressive £10,000, the team’s latest efforts once again brought together fans, families, and sponsors in a heartwarming and impactful weekend dedicated to a cause that affects millions worldwide.
A Weekend to Remember: Event Highlights
The race weekend was filled with a series of engaging activities that not only celebrated motorsport but also provided unique opportunities for fans and supporters to contribute to Race Against Dementia.
One of the weekend’s most memorable moments was the track walk with the NAPA Racing UK Team, where attendees had the chance to stroll the circuit alongside their racing heroes. This personal interaction allowed fans to connect with the drivers on a deeper level, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
NAPA Racing UK also launched special liveries, race suits and helmets.
In recognition of the personal stories and experiences of their fans, NAPA Racing UK invited them to add their names and of loved ones to the cars in return for a charitable contribution.
There were over 250 names proudly showcased during the event, which served as a poignant reminder of the personal battles being fought by so many, and the importance of continuing the search for a cure.
For those seeking a thrill, the opportunity to experience a hot lap in the legendary Gordon Murray T50 car was a dream come true. The exhilarating experience, guided by three-time BTCC champion Gordon Shedden, left participants with memories they’ll cherish for a lifetime, while also raising significant funds for the charity.
Thank you to Transcal and Knockhill for donating this experience.
Additionally, the team created a collection of dual branded merchandise, including bucket hats, socks, wristbands and t-shirts.
The drivers’ t-shirt competition added a creative twist to the weekend’s events.
Team one was Ash Sutton & Sam Osborne and team two was Dan Cammish and Dan Rowbottom.
Each team designed a unique t-shirt, with a friendly competition to see who could sell the most.
This initiative not only showcased the drivers’ creativity but also allowed fans to take home a piece of the day while accelerating progress in the Race Against Dementia.

As NAPA and NAPA Racing, if we can play a small part in contributing to those efforts and using the platform we have to support that, we’re proud to do so.” Steve Richardson – Manging Director, Alliance Automotive Group and NAPA Racing UK.
The event also served as a powerful reminder of the personal stories behind the statistics. NAPA Racing UK’s BTCC Driver, Dan Cammish’s mother, Angela Cammish said:
“On behalf of my family and the wider motor racing community, of which I have been a part for nearly 25 years, I sincerely thank NAPA Racing UK and Race Against Dementia for raising awareness of this terrible illness. Every day is like stepping into the unknown when you’re caring for someone with this disease. You never know what you’re going to face or what will happen. Every day another memory disappears forever and you lose another piece of your own life that you lived with that person. Thank you for highlighting this important cause. “
