This month, we’re shining a light on the incredible supporters who go the extra mile (literally) to fund life-changing dementia research. From casual joggers to seasoned marathon runners, each person shows that every stride counts in the fight against dementia.
Silverstone Festival Fun Run
As part of Silverstone Festival, runners had the chance to take to the legendary Grand Prix track and complete a Fun Run on the Friday evening. More than 350 runners took part, making it one of the biggest Festival fun runs yet.
Every penny donated in entrance fees will help accelerate pioneering research, supporting our teams that are racing to prevent, treat and ultimately cure dementia.
Walking for a difference
It’s not just runners rising to the challenge. Race Against Dementia Ambassador Christian Hewgill’s father, Chris, set himself a personal mission – to walk at least 1,000 kilometres between 1 March and 21 September in support of Race Against Dementia.

His chosen finish date, 21 September, carries special meaning as it marks World Alzheimer’s Day. The cause is deeply personal for Chris, whose wife Cheryl was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2023.
Joined on his walks by the family’s Golden Retriever, Teddy, Chris surpassed his distance goal well ahead of schedule, showing determination with every step.

Run Fest Silverstone
Missed your chance to run Silverstone Circuit during the Festival? There’s still time to take part in Run Fest Silverstone this November, where runners can choose between a 10k or half marathon.
