Race Against Dementia will continue to receive support from Formula One for a third consecutive year in 2025.
When we partnered with Formula One in 2023, we aimed to raise awareness of our mission to accelerate a breakthrough in the treatment and cure for dementia. Three years on, technological advancements have resulted in significant momentum and delivered real progress in the global effort to win the race against dementia.
From Albert Park to Silverstone, Suzuka to Yas Marina, the partnership has not only increased awareness, but raised over £1 million to fund new research, ignite innovation and accelerate progress. Through activations, auctions and paddock presence, F1’s global platform and collaboration has allowed Race Against Dementia to highlight the urgent need for faster progress.
In 2025, this partnership is stepping up another gear. Our grid is growing, with 22 Research Fellows receiving funding and F1-inspired training that allows them to approach their research with the same efficiency, innovation and collaboration that drives success on the track.
F1 partner DHL have also lent their support to Race Against Dementia – assisting with the delivery of the iconic 1973 Tyrrell 006 to the Bahrain Grand Prix for Sir Jackie Stewart’s tribute lap and helping to bring together a unique helmet for the occasion, signed by every living F1 World Champion.
We race with purpose
Synonymous with speed, precision and teamwork, we are applying the same principles an F1 team does in the competitive environment of the circuit into medical science.
It is not a case of just ramping up how much research gets done, with the help of F1 we’re revolutionising how it gets done. Race Against Dementia’s mentorship programme includes some of the greatest minds in F1, supporting our researchers to think outside of the box when it comes to their projects.
With the backing of F1 and every individual who joins us in our mission, we remain focused, fast, and fiercely determined – working smarter and moving faster to outpace dementia.
