Race Against Dementia 2027 Double TCS London Marathon Charity Place Terms & Conditions

By accepting a Race Against Dementia charity place in the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Participants must be aged 18 or over on the day of the event.
Charity places are awarded through an application process and are offered at the discretion of Race Against Dementia.
Successful applicants must accept their place by paying the £100 registration fee within 14 days of receiving their offer.
The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Race Against Dementia reserves the right to withdraw a charity place if false or misleading information is provided during the application process.

By accepting a Race Against Dementia charity place, you agree to raise a minimum of £2,500 for Race Against Dementia.
You agree to actively fundraise throughout your marathon journey and work towards achieving your fundraising commitment.
Race Against Dementia will provide fundraising support, guidance and resources to help you reach your target.
You may be asked to meet interim fundraising milestones throughout your marathon journey. These will be communicated by Race Against Dementia.
If you are concerned that you may not achieve the minimum fundraising target, you agree to contact Race Against Dementia as early as possible to discuss your progress.
Race Against Dementia reserves the right to withdraw your charity place before race day if there is insufficient fundraising progress or engagement with your fundraising, at its sole discretion.
The full minimum fundraising amount of £2,500 must be received by the fundraising deadline communicated by Race Against Dementia.
The £2,500 minimum fundraising commitment excludes Gift Aid.
All funds raised are charitable donations to Race Against Dementia and are non-refundable.

Your charity place is only confirmed once:
- your £100 registration fee has been received;
- you have completed the official participant registration process by the deadlines set by London Marathon Events for the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon; and
- you have accepted these Terms & Conditions.

You take part in the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon at your own risk and are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit to participate.
You agree to follow all instructions issued by London Marathon Events, event officials, medical teams and Race Against Dementia staff.
You agree to comply with all Terms & Conditions, rules and regulations set by London Marathon Events.
You are responsible for arranging and paying for your own travel, accommodation, insurance (where appropriate) and any other costs associated with taking part.

If you are no longer able to take part, you must notify Race Against Dementia as soon as possible.
Charity places cannot be transferred to another person.
Charity places cannot be deferred. Race Against Dementia charity places are valid only for the Saturday event of the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon.
The £100 registration fee is non-refundable.
Any funds raised before your withdrawal will remain with Race Against Dementia and cannot be refunded.

Race Against Dementia is not responsible for any changes made to the event by London Marathon Events, including changes to the route, date, format or event schedule.
If the event is postponed or cancelled, all funds raised will remain charitable donations to Race Against Dementia and cannot be refunded.

By taking part, you understand that photographs and video footage may be taken during the event by Race Against Dementia and London Marathon Events.
You consent to Race Against Dementia using these images and recordings for marketing, promotional and fundraising purposes unless you notify us in writing before the event.

Your personal information will be processed in accordance with Race Against Dementia’s Privacy Policy.
Your data will be used to administer your charity place, provide fundraising support and stewardship, and fulfil our obligations relating to the event.
Where necessary, your information may be shared with London Marathon Events for the purposes of administering your participation.

Race Against Dementia accepts no responsibility for any injury, illness, loss or damage suffered as a result of your participation in the 2027 Double TCS London Marathon, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
