Amber Lounge, Monaco – Auction update!

Posted on the 5th June 2019

Following the auction, hosted by Amber Lounge in Monaco on 24th May, we’re delighted to announce that nearly €350,000 was raised through the live auction, the proceeds of which go directly towards RAD’s fight to find a cure for dementia.

There were a number of extremely generous lots donated by our supporters for whom we extend our thanks. Naturally, however, our thanks also go towards those lucky enough to win their chosen lot on the night.

In addition to some amazing objects and experiences, 9 generous donations were received for directly funding a month of the fellowship programme for a senior PhD-qualified researcher to focus on top level dementia research.

Thank you from all at Race Against Dementia to everyone involved!

The 1kg gold coin, donated by Rosland Capital, and presented to Sir Jackie for auction by CEO Marin Aleksov, is one of only two minted.
It features a classic portrait of Sir Jackie, with his signature and the Formula 1 logo to the right. The other side of the coin includes a famous portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
The coin was won at auction for an undisclosed but significant amount, with all proceeds donated to Race Against Dementia. The winning bidder will receive a certificate of authenticity with Sir Jackie’s signature, and additional certifications of the coin’s fineness, weight, and proof of quality.

Abercrombie and Kent kindly donated an extraordinary holiday
package for two people to enjoy a unique and thrilling journey
through India. The winning bidder gets to enjoy the breath-taking
beauty of sunset in Taj Mahal and experience the charm of the
“Pink City” Jaipur, the first planned city of India.
This includes 6 nights / 7 days in the most luxurious hotels retreats in
the area with expert guiding and excursions

Cunard has been offering regular service between Southampton

• Seven-night westbound or eastbound crossing between
Southampton and New York in 2019 and 2020.
